How Finn Sees The World
In the latest ep of Adventure Time, we find out that Finn is Red/Green Colorblind. Also known as Deuteranopia, it is most common in males, especially Caucasian males.
Using a Colorblind Simulator (go try more pics yourself!) these are a compilation of how Finn probably sees the Land of Ooo. Especially interesting is that he doesn’t really see how pink Princess Bubblegum is, or how red Flame Princess is!
Also, here’s an example of why Finn probably confused the Emerald for a Ruby:
Kind of easy to confuse the two in a dark cave.

it’s so cool that adventure time is so diverse and inclusive and it’s literally this easy to do so. there’s some colorblind kid now that feels a really strong bond to finn and draws hope from the character like if finn is ok maybe they can be ok too
Dick Black, Asshole of the Day for January 16, 2014

Last year the Virginia GOP had a real line-up of assholes. All three of the top people on their ticket appeared on the site at least once:
- Attorney General candidate Mark Obenshain won for wanting to require women report miscarriages to the police
- Lt. Gov. candidate E.W. Jackson won for saying welfare hurt black families more than slavery ever did
- Governor candidate Ken Cuccinelli wanted to outlaw sodomy, which in his definition included blow jobs,
But even though the whole ticket lost, they have learned nothing, for here comes state Sen. Dick Black saying spousal rape shouldn’t be illegal:
State Sen. Richard H. “Dick” Black is running in the Republican primary to replace longtime GOP moderate Rep. Frank Wolf, who is retiring. And he’s guaranteed to ignite wedge-issue passion. Exhibit A: As a state legislator, Black opposed making spousal rape a crime, citing the impossibility of convicting a husband accused of raping his wife “when they’re living together, sleeping in the same bed, she’s in a nightie, and so forth.”And Black has a long history of saying nasty things:
Black has referred to emergency contraception, which does not cause abortions, as “baby pesticide.” Black also fought to block a statue of Abraham Lincoln at a former Confederate site in Richmond. He wasn’t sure, he explained at the time, that statues of Lincoln belonged in Virginia. He has argued that abortion is a worse evil than slavery. And once, to demonstrate why libraries should block pornography on their computers, Black invited a TV reporter to film him using a library terminal to watch violent rape porn.But let’s go back to why we’re talking about him today— that he thinks spousal rape shouldn’t be outlawed. What he’s saying is that once a woman gets married, she has consented to letting her husband do whatever he wants to her whenever he wants. She doesn’t get to control her own body. Not any more. And then he caps it off by saying that wearing “a nightie” is asking for it. Forget Todd Akin— he seemed to believe that steaming pile of bogus science which he used to justify not granting abortion exceptions for rape. This guy is much worse— he doesn’t believe a married woman can be raped, or if he does, he doesn’t care and doesn’t think it should be the state’s business. And that’s what makes Dick Black the Asshole of the Day.
It is Dick Black’s first time being named Asshole of the Day, though just one of many for statements on rape. All part of the GOP’s War On Women.
